HANOI (4 Aug 2011) – The Vietnam national Under-19 team has already started their training camp ahead of the AFF U19 Youth Championship which will be held in Yangon, Myanmar next month.
The AFF U19 meet has been slated for 8-20 September 2011 with nine teams taking part.
Vietnam have been placed in Group B against hosts Myanmar, Indonesia and Laos while Group A are Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia and Cambodia.
Under the guidance of chief coach Trieu Quang Ha, the team will be based at the Youth Football Training Centre in Hanoi.
The AFF U19 championship is being used as a tune-up for the AFC U19 qualifiers which Vietnam will be hosting in Ho Chi Minh City from 31 October 2011 to 8 November 2011.
