HANOI (10 Dec 2014) – As expected, tickets for the second leg semi-finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup here in Hanoi are the most expensive for the biennial championship. At least, for now.
The tickets, which have been already sold out since the first leg semi finals in Shah Alam, are a rare commodity since last Thursday when the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) decided to release it to the public.
Getting a VIP ticket is a practical impossibility while the Category 2 ticket which has a value of just USD 7 over the counter is now priced at a whopping USD 70 in the black market.
Category 2 are the cheapest available tickests at the 40,000 capacity My Dinh National Stadium.
Category 1 in the meantime which was sold at USD 20 have now risen to an unbelievable USD 250. And that is of this morning. With still some hours to go, some are expecting the ticket to come up to an even USD 300 per piece.
With confidence running high in the Vietnam camp, that they will make the final this year following their morale boosting 2-1 win over Malaysia from the first leg, there is no way to gauge how much more expensive tickets for the final on 20 Dec will be.
