KUALA LUMPUR (14 Dec 2014) – Khairy Jamaluddin, the Malaysian Minister for Youth and Sports, has given the assurance that the pitch at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil will meet the required standard.
The National Stadium in Bukit Jalil has been chosen as the venue for the final match of the AFF Suzuki Cup on 20 December.
“The roots are getting stronger. It is definitely in a much better condition than it was at the Malaysia Cup Final (in early November),” said Khairy.
“However there are still certain areas which are not where it should be. In terms of confidence, I would say that the pitch condition is at least 75% acceptable.
“As the minister, to give it a rating of 75% is okay. It is not a failure but just not 100% satisfaction.”
