PETALING JAYA (2 July 2014) –The FA of Malaysia (FA) have mapped out a series of friendlies over the course of the next several months which also included DPR Korea as they look to give more bite to their AFF Suzuki Cup campaign at the end of the year.
Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, the general secretary of the FAM said this week that so far, they have confirmed three matches.
“For our AFF Suzuki Cup campaign, we have arranged friendlies against Tajikistan on 6 August away and also against Singapore on 6 September away. We will play Jordan on 18 November at home,” said Hamidin.
“We have also lined up two more matches in November – against New Zealand and Korea Utara. Both teams have agreed to the match but we just needed to work out on a few things for the moment.
“We would of course like to arrange for more friendly matches especially during Ramadhan and also after the Malaysia Cup final (1 November). But that depends on the programme of the new national coach.”
The AFF Suzuki Cup begins on 22 November.
