VIENTIANE (5 Sept 2014) – With just over a month to go to the start of the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup, Laos have begun their preparation in earnest where they have lined up a match against the Japan Football League Selection side on Sunday.
The game is being played at the National Stadium KM16 just outside the capital city of Vientiane.
The Japan Football League is composed of teams from the lower division1 and 2 with the Selection side being coached by Hiroyasu Ibata from Honda FC.
Other than players from Honda FC, the others come from Renofa Yamaguchi FC, Verspah Ota and Kagoshima FC.
Laos which will be hosting the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup next month in mid-October will face fierce competition from Myanmar, Cambodia, Brunei and Timor Lester to win only two available placed into the final round of the competition.
