MANILA (15 August 2014) – The Philippines Football Federation (PFF) have roped in Chinese Taipei to take over the spot left vacant by Vietnam for the Peace Cup slated for 1-9 September at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Vietnam had wanted to play in the Peace Cup provided they are not in the same group as the Philippines for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014.
But following the official draw earlier this month, Vietnam have had to withdraw from the Peace Cup after they were found themselves in the same Group A as the Philippines.
The other teams in Group A are Indonesia and the runners-up team from the qualifying round.
With the teams finalised for the Peace Cup, the Philippines national side will take on Chinese Taipei on 3 September, before taking on Myanmar on 6 September and then Palestine on 9 September.
