SIDOARJO (26 Sept 2014) – Cambodian coach Lee Tae Hoon was more than pleased with their 1-0 loss to Indonesia when compared to the big 4-1 defeat they suffered at the hands of Malaysia just a few days earlier.
Indonesia, under chief coach Alfred Riedl, scored the only goal of the game in the 45th minute through a Raphael Maitimo’s penalty.
“We had to play a very tight game,” said Tae Hoon. “We played a lot better than against Malaysia and we thought that Indonesia did not play well at all.
“We know that Indonesia is a better team so we have to be at our best. We learn a lot from this match.”
Riedl said that the reason why Indonesia did not play well was because the Cambodians were a little robust with their play at the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium.
“It was not a bad result. But I thought that the Cambodians were a bit robust,” he added.
