BANGKOK (9 Dec 2014) – Tickets for the second leg semifinal matches are highly sought after by fans both in Bangkok and Hanoi. They have become even more valuable following reports that tickets for both matches are almost sold out.
At the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, which can accommodate around 45,000 fans, the atmosphere is going to be awesome as the near capacity crowd comes out in solid suport of their team.
Thailand, following their convincing run in the group stage, are the favourites to bag the title for the first time in 12-years. The last time the Thais emerged champions was in 2002.
Since head coach, Kiatisuk “Zico” Senamuang took over, the team has been on the rise. A great run in the Asian Games, which saw them finish a remarkable fourth, has offered hope of a Thai revival here.
In Hanoi, over 40,000 fans are expected to pack in the MyDinh Stadium. Tickets have been sold out and fans are clamouring to try and get their hands on them.
The tickets are most sought after, especially after Vietnam’s 2-1 win over Malaysia in the first leg.
