BANGKOK (8 March 2014) – Following the disappointment of losing out on a place in the 2015 Asian Cup, Thai coach Kiatisak Senamuang is looking forward to the AFF Suzuki Cup at the end of the year to revive Thai fortunes at the senior level.
Thailand lost all their matches in the qualifying round which also included a humiliating 5-2 home loss to Lebanon in their last tie at home in Bangkok.
But after having led the Under-23 team to the SEA Games gold medal last year, Kiatisak will be looking to build a stronger team able to carry the challenge and deliver their first ASEAN crown since 2002.
The Thais were also the losing finalists in 2012.
“I will monitor the domestic league to look for players for both teams,’’ said Kiatisak.
