BANGKOK (13 Oct 2013) – Thailand proved that they are still the team to watch at the AFF Futsal Championship this year when they won the recent pre-SEA Games championship that was held in Myanmar.
The Thais – the eight times champions of the tournament – beat Malaysia 4-3 in the final of the meet that was also participated by two teams from hosts Myanmar.
In the fight for third place, Myanmar (A) edged Myanmar (B) 5-3.
On the other hand, in the women’s division, Vietnam won the title when they beat Thailand 4-3 in the final.
Hosts Myanmar came in third after beating Malaysia 6-3.
