SHAH ALAM (22 Sept 2014) – Indonesia and Vietnam make the semi-finals of the AFF Futsal Championship following their thumping third wins in the group to at once send the message that there might just be a new king in town by the weekend.
Indonesia, who had just last night recovered to blast Timor Leste 14-3, pulled no punches in the first match this morning when they crushed Brunei 15-1.
Five players were on the double and they are Bambang Bayu Saptaji (4th and 19th minute), Caisar Octavianus (5th and 18th), Ardy Suwardy (15th and 33rd), Fhandy Permana (21st and 22nd) and Syahidanysah Lubis (25th and 35th).
The remainder of the goals were scored by Nur Ali (13th miinute), Jaelani Ladjanibi (18th), Andriansyah Agustin (29th), Ahmad Zulfikar (30th) and Andri Kustiawan (34th).
In the meantime, Vietnam blasted Laos 18-0 to make the final four of the championship this year.
Phung Trong Luan started things off with a brace in the second and tenth minute to be followed by a hat-trick from Tran Thai Huy (25th, 33rd and 35th minute), Tran Long Vu (20th, 31st and 33rd) and Pham Doc Hua (22nd, 33rd and 40th minute).
The rest of the goals were scored by Ly Khanh Hung (15th and 20th minute), Ngo Ngoc Son (18th and 39th), Tran Van Vu (21st), Le Quoc Nam (23rd) and Pham Thanh Dat (28th).
