BANGKOK (23 Nov 2015) – Dural Warriors of Australia made a winning start to their campaign in the AFF Bangkok Futsal Club Championship 2015 when they overcame Myanmar’s ACE FC 3-0 as defending champions Thai Son Nam FC whitewashed Felda United Women 8-0.
The first period of hesitancy from both teams saw only one goal being scored when Dural’s Samantha Jo Nagy headed in a 17th minute cross from Sarah Yatim for the lead.
ACE tried to get their act together into the second half but found themselves falling further behind when Yatim then slotted in the second goal for Dural just a minute after the restart.
Yatim, easily the livewire in the team, then wrapped things up with Dural’s third goal of the game after 29 minutes.
As Dural stepped off the gas, ACE came close on a couple of occasions but they just could not snag the goal they were looking for.
IN THE MEANTIME, defending champions Thai Son Nam FC made an incredible start to their title defence when they thrashed Felda United Women 8-0.
A two minute blitz have Thai Son Nam the best of beginning off goals from Thai Thi Thao (8th and 9th minute) and Nguyen Thi Chau (9th) as they pushed the Felda girls back into their own half.
Felda were to finishe the first half four goals behind when Hannani Adriana Shamsul Azizan conceded an own goal in the 17th minute.
Thai Son Nam were unrelentless into the second half as they added further goals through Pham Thi Tuoi (26th), Nguyen Thi Thanh (29th), Ho Thi Thu Hien (32nd) and Phung Thi Nhung (36th).
