DILI (11 April 2018) – Asian beach soccer received a boost with the AFC Beach Soccer Coaching Instructors’ Workshop 2018 that began on Wednesday, aimed at empowering instructors to take the game to an even higher level.
Six participants from Malaysia, Bahrain, Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman are taking part in the four-day workshop led by Switzerland’s Angelo Schirinzi and Gilberto Costa from Brazil.
The course will delve into various areas of beach soccer coaching, such as the coaching methods and processes, along with technical and functional training drills.
Head of AFC’s Futsal and Beach Soccer Development Ali Targholizadeh, who opened the workshop, said: “Beach soccer is a sport that is constantly developing, and the AFC is committed to offer support and services.
“I would like to thank FIFA for appointing speakers from UEFA and CONMEBOL, which I believe will surely benefit beach soccer development in Asia.
“I am confident that all the participants will take advantage of this workshop, and that everyone involved will cooperate throughout, as the instructors and coaches of beach soccer play an important role in the game.” – www.the-afc.com
