SYDNEY (5 Dec 2015) – On a night when Western Sydney Wanderers roared past Brisbane 2-1 to go to of the Hyundai A-League, the AFF Council members were given a taste of an evening out with the Red and Black.
The AFF Council members are currently here in Sydney with the Football Federation Australia playing hosts to the first ever council meeting tomorrow morning at the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel.
And this evening, more important than the feast at the corporate suite of the Pirtek Stadium or the kind hospitality of the stewards and officials from the FFA/A-League, it is the opportunity to look at how a match in the top professional Australian league was conducted which should take top note.
With no running track and the obvious absence of a fence all around the playing arena, this is the ideal which all professional leagues across ASEAN should look to aspire to be.
And other than the quality of the game between the Wanderers and the Roars, the half-time show with kids playing small sided games are just one of the activities that were held during match days.
All around the Pirtek Stadium, an atmosphere of festivities were organized giving it a more wholesome entertainment than just the match alone.
