HANOI (14 August 2009) – The Vietnam Under-16 team will undergo a 40-day training session in preparation for the Asean Football Federation (AFF) U16 Women’s Championship in Myanmar in October.
The Vietnam U16 squad will officially check in on 23 August 2009 in Hanoi. The squad of 26 players under the guidance of head coach Tran Ngoc Thai Tuan, will play at least three friendlies prior to the tournament. The AFF U16 Women’s Championship will be held in Yangon on 9-18 October 2009 with eight teams taking part. In Group A are Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar A while in Group B are Vietnam, Philippines, Laos and Myanmar B. Vietnam will open their campaign in the championship against Myanmar B on 10 October 2009. |
