YANGON (13 Oct 2010) – A total of 24 participants from five countries are undergoing a FIFA/ AFF Futuro III Administration and Management Instructors’ Course in Yangon.
The course is scheduled for 10-14 October. The participants are from Myanmar, Laos, Philippines, Cambodia and Timor Leste. “FIFA’s Futuro I and II courses conducted in the last decade were for the development of football in coaching and refereeing sectors,” said U Than Zaw, the chief executive officer and treasurer of the MFF (Myanmar Football Federation). “After that FIFA realised that for the development of football, good administration and proper management are also important and are much needed in each and every Member Associations and football clubs all around the world. “So this Futoro III Instructor Course is meant to teach the teachers from the five ASEAN Countries. Because of that I would like to urge all the participants to put all their efforts, so as to gain all the knowledge from this course, so that you may able to conduct other FIFA Futuro III follow-up courses in your country and other ASEAN countries for the development of football in our region.” The two instructors at the course are Joseph Samuel and Stuart Ramalingam. The topics covered are FIFA and its Development Activities, FIFA Statutes and Regulations, Genera Management, Confederations, Member Associations and Human Resources. Other subjects include Competitions, Event Management and Security Management, Finance, Planning, Club Management and also Marketing and Communication. |
