PETALING JAYA (24 June 2008) – A total of 23 participants took part in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) General Coordinator Workshop which ended on Sunday in Petaling Jaya.
Apart from the participation of member countries from Asean, there were also two attendees each from Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan where they were introduced to the intricacies of being a General Coordinator for any given match. Among the subject taught on the fist day were duties of head of delegations, duties of match commissioner, duties of general coordinator and also how to handle a match coordination meeting. On the second day, the participants were given a lecture on duties of the media officer, AFC (Asian Football Confederation) match forms, announcer’s text, match organisation and also a practical session of what they have learned was held at the Stadium Bolasepak Kuala Lumpur in Cheras. The five presenters for the workshop were Dato’ Paul Mony Samuel, Windsor John, Dato’ Yap Nyim Keong, Dhinnesh Kumaran and Jeysing Muthiah. |
