BANGKOK (22 July 2011) – Thailand national striker Sarayuth Chaikamdee has pulled out of the team – ahead of their 2014 World Cup second round match against Palestine.
The Thais will take on Palestine in the first leg qualifiers at the new I-Mobile Stadium in Buriram tomorrow night before the return tie five days later.
The Bangkok Glass frontman injured his hamstring in Thailand’s 1-0 win against Myanmar in a friendly last week.
“It’s disappointing that I had to withdraw from the national team because I have been in good form this season,” said Sarayuth.
Sarayuth’s spot in the squad is taken over by Wasant Natasant of Chiang Rai United.
