MANILA (2 Feb 2014) – Just four days after taking on Malaysia in a friendly in Kuala Lumpur, the Philippines national team have now confirmed a match against Azerbaijan in Dubai on 5 March 2014.
The game is at the behest of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).
“We cannot let pass the invitation of Azerbaijan to a friendly match. It will be a good exposure for our national team, and would help our preparations for the AFC Challenge Cup Maldives finals in May 2014,” said Mariano Araneta, the president of the PFF.
