NAGA CORP AND KHEMARA KEILA IN CPL FINAL

Naga Corp sidestepped defending champions Phnom Penh Crown FC 2-0 as Khemara Keila edged out Preah Khan Reach FC with a similar score line for the right to be in the final this year.

Both Naga and Khemara had ended the preliminary round of the CPL on fourth and third respectively.

Against Phnom Penh, Naga played a patient game as they scored a goal in each half for the win – coming off O. Sunday Patrick in the 15th minute and N. Friday six minutes to the end.

For Khemara, an own goal from Preah Khan’s Sok Rithy in the 42nd minute was just what they needed following long periods of possession.

They then wrapped up the game with the second goal of the afternoon from O. N. Olatunde in the 81st minute to set up the final encounter against Naga Corp in 26 September 2009.
